Own-Once Mobility

Buy-once mobility and recovery app for desk workers and athletes: guided daily stretching plus custom therapist routines, with no auto-renewing subscription or surprise annual…

In plain English

What category is this?
Clinics, coaches, and consumers buy for care, fitness, or wellbeing workflows. Here the focus is consumer health and wellness.
The idea, briefly

Build a one-time purchase that unlocks the guided mobility library offline, lets you add your own or a physical therapist's stretches into custom routines, and never auto-renews; extra content is bought on purpose as a cheap non-renewing pass, not silently charged. Caveat: the guided desk-worker and mobility-test content is not unserved (Pliability markets a 'DESK BOUND' routine and a 'Desk Workers' segment, and GOWOD leads with a free mobility test), so the novelty is ownership/offline/custom-PT-routines, not the content category.

Should you build this?

People who stretch daily to stay out of pain - desk workers, lifters, runners and anyone following a physical therapist's homework - already pay for guided mobility apps, and the category clearly takes money: Pliability charges $179.99/year and GOWOD charges $124.99/year, while Bend has 174K App Store ratings. The sharpest pain is not the stretching, it is the billing: the same review pages are full of people billed $125-$200 for a year after a free trial, refused refunds, and unable to cancel inside the app, plus people who cannot add the stretches their therapist gave them. This is not guaranteed to work: Bend already sells first-year annual plans for $19.99-$39.99, Pliability itself markets desk-worker and mobility-test content (so 'undo desk stiffness' is not an unserved content gap), YouTube is free, and a fixed library can feel stale next to a continually updated subscription.
