Own-Data Health Context Hub

For people juggling wearables, lab PDFs and DNA: one private hub that helps surface possible links behind their symptoms.

In plain English

What category is this?
Clinics, coaches, and consumers buy for care, fitness, or wellbeing workflows. Here the focus is consumer health.
The idea, briefly

Build one private place that combines wearables, uploaded lab PDFs, DNA files and manual symptom logs, then surfaces possible correlations in plain language and exports a doctor-ready timeline.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like Function Health, InsideTracker, Exist expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: A compiled secondary research report quotes a Function Health reviewer whose headline was 'I Tried Function Health. Now I Have 105 Data Points and Zero Instructions,' and reports the product gave no prioritization or roadmap and no wearable integration. The report's underlying primary source (a Substack review) was not opened by the builder, so this is secondhand evidence relayed through the compilation, not a directly opened primary complaint; and insideTracker's membership page says only its own listed biomarkers are analyzed, DNA upload 'will not work from a mobile device,' and extras cost more (InnerAge $99 per calculation; mobile draw +$119).

Should you build this?

But this is not guaranteed to work: Exist already correlates wearables and manual logs for $62.90/year, Bearable sells correlation reports for $34.99/year, Function already lists 'Upload past results', and the strongest pain evidence for the cross-source job is a single secondary compilation whose primary sources were not opened. People who already own a wearable, have paid for a lab panel and a DNA kit, and are bouncing between apps trying to work out what is causing a symptom are the buyers. Incumbents either sell the tests themselves or monetize subscriptions; none visibly puts wearables, uploaded labs, DNA and manual logs in one private place and correlates them.
