One-Tap Migraine Log

A migraine diary you can start with one tap while it hurts, then finish later and hand your doctor a clean report.

In plain English

What category is this?
Clinics, coaches, and consumers buy for care, fitness, or wellbeing workflows. Here the focus is consumer health subscription.
The idea, briefly

Proposed design (inference): a one-tap attack start that auto-captures time, weather and location, then queues everything else to fill in after the pain passes; no streak-shaming alerts, no ads, no data resale, and a printable doctor report included in one flat yearly price. The friction it targets is documented on an checked source; the solution is not yet validated.

The app forces you to enter an exact end time for the previous attack before you can start a new one, and the screen is overwhelming mid-attack.
Constant 'insight' notifications and badges make users ignore the reminders that actually matter.
Streak messaging reportedly shames users: 'every time I log into it says X days since last migraine! Like that's somehow good.
Multi-day attacks reportedly cannot be logged properly.
A competing simple tracker reportedly limits how many triggers/medications/symptoms you can add unless you pay, so the simple-app alternative is not frictionless either.
The incumbent's App Store privacy label discloses that Identifiers and Usage Data (not health data) are used for the developer's advertising or marketing,

Should you build this?

The incumbent is huge but its most repeatable verified complaint, on an opened aggregated-review page, is exactly this attack-time friction, and it charges up to $89.99 a year for the analysis layer on top of a free tracker; the Reddit complaints that sharpen this are snippet-only and could not be opened. The target is a large, paying chronic-condition category, but the product shape overlaps existing pending symptom-tracker ideas (perimenopause, PCOS) in different conditions, so differentiation must be earned on migraine-specific attack-time UX and reports. To validate before building: run a $300 Reddit (r/migraine) and Facebook migraine-group landing page for two weeks offering a $19/yr founding price for a one-tap logger, and only proceed if you get at least 25 email sign-ups and 3 prepaid reservations from people who currently use and dislike Migraine Buddy.
