Flat-Rate Home Care Agency OS

Flat monthly scheduling, visit verification and billing for home care agencies, with unlimited caregivers and clients instead of per-seat pricing.

In plain English

What category is this?
Clinics, coaches, and consumers buy for care, fitness, or wellbeing workflows. Here the focus is vertical SaaS.
The idea, briefly

Build one flat per-agency price (target about $299/month) that covers unlimited caregiver logins and unlimited client records, with EVV, the caregiver mobile app, the client/family portal and private-pay plus Medicaid/VA billing included, and a done-for-you migration that moves visit history and care plans off AxisCare, ClearCare or a spreadsheet. Caveat: this is not a novel category. ShiftCare and CareLineLive already include all features on every plan and start as low as AU$40/£120 a month, and the quote-gated US vendors bundle EVV and billing, so only the unlimited-caregiver/unlimited-client packaging is potentially novel, and it is copyable.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like ShiftCare, CareLineLive, AxisCare expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Agency billing and visit tracking still run on manual spreadsheets; and the industry is described as running on legacy, non-software workflows.

Agency billing and visit tracking still run on manual spreadsheets.
The industry is described as running on legacy, non-software workflows.
Some home health companies still run on-premise software from the 1990s.
Government home health forms change yearly and must be manually rebuilt in the software.
Pricing is metered on caregivers or clients, not on the agency. ShiftCare charges per user and says 'Every person with a login counts as a user,
Thin margins cap what agencies will spend.

Should you build this?

The pain is real and documented: one agency ran billing on an 80,000-line spreadsheet with hand-copied insurance numbers and faxed forms, another home health company was on software built in 1999, and every vendor charges by the caregiver, the user, or the client, which punishes agencies with high caregiver turnover. Home care agency owners pay for this: the people who schedule caregivers, verify visits, and bill families and Medicaid. The job is running a shift-based care business without spreadsheets. The category clearly makes money: AxisCare says 33,500+ people use it, AlayaCare says 700+ agencies pay it, and CareSmartz360 says 2,000+ clients. This is not guaranteed to work. The low end is cheap (ShiftCare starts around $40 a month; CareLineLive at GBP 120), home care runs on thin margins, and the bigger vendors can copy a flat plan. A flat per-agency price only wins for growing agencies that have many caregivers or clients.
