Resale Seller Inbox & Reply-Clock Shield
A cheap inbox for Poshmark, Mercari, Depop and Vinted sellers that surfaces buyer messages against each platform's reply clock.
In plain English
- What category is this?
- Teams buy to close deals and help customers — CRM, outreach, support inboxes. Here the focus is e.
- The idea, briefly
Build one flat monthly price per seller (around $12-19) covering unlimited marketplaces, stores and seats, connecting the resale marketplaces the paid inboxes skip (Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Vinted) alongside Etsy and eBay, with a per-marketplace reply clock, a daily 'answer these or lose the badge/money' list, order-grounded reply drafts, case/return context and a spam/other-folder rescue.
More ▾- What buyers expect
People comparing tools like eDesk, Replyco, ReplyDesk expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Etsy's Star Seller message-response badge requires replying to 95%+ of first messages in a thread with a buyer within 24 hours; Etsy states auto-replies count as a response, that messages from the same buyer in separate threads each require a reply to that thread's first message, and that eligibility is determined on the 1st of the month using a rolling three-month window. The rule is stated on Etsy's own opened Star Seller page. Illustration (my arithmetic, not stated by Etsy): a solo seller whose eligible first-message volume is 19 can fall below 95% after missing a single first message because 18/19 = 94.7%; and sellers report Etsy counting messages they believe they answered. Verbatim title.

Resale orders go unanswered or cancelled because crosslisting/delisting tools glitch and Poshmark locks listings with open offers. | |

Should you build this?
Who pays: solo and two-person resellers who sell the same stock on Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Vinted, Etsy and eBay. The job: make sure no buyer message or order question sits long enough to cost a sale, a rating or a badge. The tools that do this today (eDesk $39-119 per person per month, Replyco, ReplyDesk) are built for Amazon and eBay sellers; none of them connects Poshmark, Mercari, Depop or Vinted, and those sellers are left answering from their phones. This is not guaranteed to work: whether the resale marketplaces expose an official messaging API is unproven (the Poshmark support page could not be re-opened and the cited vendors simply do not list them), so the product would lean on extension-based connections that can break or breach terms, the incumbents could add the same channels, and resellers are notoriously price-sensitive. The opening is real but narrow, and the flat price only works if the tool saves a seller more than one lost order a month. Kill it if fewer than 8 pre-pay, if most say they already answer within a few hours from their phone, or if fewer than half can point to a sale or rating lost to a late reply.
