Flat-Rate Hearing Clinic Desk

Practice software for independent hearing clinics, sold at one public monthly price instead of a sales quote.

In plain English

What category is this?
Clinics, coaches, and consumers buy for care, fitness, or wellbeing workflows. Here the focus is vertical SaaS.
The idea, briefly

Build one flat per-clinic monthly price, published on the site, with unlimited providers, no per-claim or per-location fee, month-to-month terms, free migration and data export, clinical-note-first workflow with Noah sync. Caveat: this is packaging, not a new category; amplifyOMS already publishes flat per-clinic tiers and HearForm already sells an owner-purchasable license, so the wedge is the combination of self-serve transparency plus a lower entry price aimed at the solo/new clinic that both incumbents and amplifyOMS still over-serve.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like amplifyOMS, HearForm, Sycle expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Pricing is hidden behind a sales call, so a first-time buyer cannot budget; and the category is expensive and the cost is resented by small practices.

Market heat

  • Sycle's own opened features page reports 1,000+ clinics and 9,000+ users (company-reported, not independently audited).

  • AmplifyOMS's competitor-authored comparison page describes Sycle as 'the industry default for more than two decades' and reports Sycle at approximately 7,000 clinics and 20,000 hearing care professionals (competitor-authored, not Sycle's own figure).

    More ▾
  • AmplifyOMS's opened pricing page says more than 400 clinics run on it today (company-reported).

  • HearForm's opened comparison page says the software is used in over 2,000 dispensing practices and that it and Sycle together hold roughly two thirds of the audiology office-management market (company-reported, cites a 2012 ADA survey).

    More ▾
  • The category is expensive and opaque: amplifyOMS's opened pricing page states the audiology practice management category does not publish public pricing and that every prospect schedules a discovery call, while Sycle and Blueprint OMS publish no rates.

Should you build this?

Independent hearing clinics pay a lot for software that is hard to see the price of and slow in daily use. Sycle quotes you privately and gates features by plan, Blueprint OMS also quotes privately, and HearForm charges $5,999 up front, while amplifyOMS is the one rival already publishing flat $97 to $495 monthly prices. The hypothesis is that a solo or newly opened clinic will pay for one obvious monthly price, unlimited providers, clinical notes with Noah sync, month-to-month terms, and free migration and data export, with the clinic keeping its own card processor. This is not guaranteed to win: two incumbents already sell flat or outright-purchase pricing (amplifyOMS even has a $97 solo tier), Noah/HIMSA and HIPAA work is real engineering, and switching costs are high. Before building, run 15-minute calls with 20 solo or first-year audiologists sourced from r/audiology and the Hearing Tracker forum; show a one-page mock with a $79/month flat price and no per-claim fees - explicitly comparing against amplifyOMS's $97 tier - and ask for a signed letter of intent or a $50 deposit. Kill it if fewer than 5 commit, or if most already get flat pricing they are happy with.
