The idea, briefly

Build a white-label, commission-free wholesale reorder portal at one flat monthly price, with account-specific pricing, a quick-order grid, net-term invoicing and a one-click importer for a brand's existing Faire retailer and product data, aimed at moving repeat accounts off Faire. Note: Faire already charges 0% on brand-driven Faire Direct orders (sources 5 and 6) and source 8 states Faire's terms bar direct billing for a Faire-sourced account while the brand stays on Faire, so the realistic segment is brands willing to run their Faire-sourced repeat accounts off Faire entirely.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like Faire, Wholesale Gorilla, OrderDock expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Faire keeps 15% on every reorder from a retailer it introduced, and its terms prevent moving that account to direct billing while a brand stays on Faire, so the fee never ends; and brands report Faire stacking new charges on top of the commission: a seller was quoted as writing that on top of 'the 15% + $10 commission' Faire added promoted listings, and a commenter as saying 'now I get to pay $200-$400/month to reach buyers. AND 15% in perpetuity. That's BS and an absolute money grab.' (Reddit returned no body on fetch, so these are snippet-only and unverified; treat the quotes as unconfirmed.).

Should you build this?

Indie brands pay Faire 15% on every reorder from a shop Faire introduced, plus a $10 first-order fee and processing, and small Shopify merchants pay Wholesale Gorilla $34.95 to $149.95 a month for wholesale pricing and net terms. The job here is to give a brand a branded reorder site for the stockists it already has, with account-specific pricing, a quick-order grid, net-term invoicing and a one-click import of its Faire customer and product data, for one flat fee and no commission. Faire is enormous ($8B+ in brand sales, 100,000+ brands, 700k+ retailers) and absorbs retailer credit risk and net-60 terms, and a low-cost copycat, OrderDock, advertises $20 a month with no commission (unconfirmed), so this is not a sure thing. Two caveats the test must resolve: Faire already charges 0% on brand-driven Faire Direct orders (sources 5 and 6), and source 8 states Faire's terms bar moving a Faire-sourced retailer to direct billing while the brand stays on Faire, so this product is really an argument for brands to run their Faire-sourced repeat accounts off Faire entirely - a bigger behavioral and credit-risk ask than a cheaper reorder page. The pitch is a $39 a month plan positioned to undercut Faire's 15% on repeat orders and Wholesale Gorilla's $149.95 tier. Test it before building: get 20 brands doing $5k+ a month on Faire to export their order history, count how many have a retailer with three or more orders, and try to pre-sell a $99 three-month migration pilot; walk away if fewer than six can show a repeat retailer or fewer than five will pay.
