Flat-Rate Climbing Gym OS

One flat price per climbing gym for memberships, waivers, bookings, POS and a member app, with no Windows server and no tier ladder.

In plain English

What category is this?
Clinics, coaches, and consumers buy for care, fitness, or wellbeing workflows. Here the focus is vertical SaaS.
The idea, briefly

Build a browser-first climbing gym OS sold at one flat price per gym (target about $149/mo) with digital waivers, online bookings that reserve the resource and require a waiver, a branded member app, unlimited staff seats and multi-location included, with no Windows server. Caveats: the modern-cloud position is already held by Approach, so the potentially novel part is only the flat per-gym packaging, and the core features are copyable.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like Rock Gym Pro, Approach, Zen Planner expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Waivers cannot be made mandatory before an online booking, so staff redo waivers at the desk; and online event reservations do not hold the resource by default, producing double bookings.

Waivers cannot be made mandatory before an online booking, so staff redo waivers at the desk.
Online event reservations do not hold the resource by default, producing double bookings.
The cloud option costs more than self-hosting and still requires Windows hardware.
Operators specifically want a browser-based system rather than self-hosting.
Tier/activation fragility can lock a gym out.
Per-facility pricing punishes multi-location operators because every facility pays separately and core features scale by tier.

Should you build this?

Climbing gym owners and multi-site bouldering chains pay for software today, and the two main vendors prove it: Rock Gym Pro reports 200+ facilities, and Approach reports 182 gyms. The job is running memberships, waivers, open-play and class bookings, day passes, gear rental and POS. The real complaints are documented on RGP's own pages: waivers cannot be required before an online booking ('There is no way for RGP to make a waiver mandatory'), online reservations can double-book a room, digital waivers start only at the Plus tier and online bookings at Premium, and the cloud option needs a Windows machine. The wedge is narrow and must be stated honestly: the modern browser-based position is already held by Approach, so only a flat per-gym price with waivers, bookings, member app and multi-location included is potentially novel, and RGP or Approach could re-bundle against it. The market is also small (hundreds to low thousands of gyms), so this is not a big business.
