Flat monthly pricing for small Shopify stores: unlimited returns and every automation - exchanges, store credit, carrier choice, return windows - with no per-return fees.

In plain English

What category is this?
Sellers and shoppers use this to list, sell, fulfill, or buy products online. Here the focus is e.
The idea, briefly

Build one flat per-store price that includes every returns feature at the entry tier - unlimited returns, exchanges, store credit, automatic cheapest-carrier label selection and delivery-date return windows - so a small shop never has to upgrade mid-setup to make returns actually work.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like AfterShip Returns & Exchanges, Loop Returns & Exchanges, ReturnGO Returns & Exchanges expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Basic automation is locked to the top tier, so a small shop cannot make returns run without paying the highest price; and the cheap tier fails at automation the merchant was promised.

The cheap tier fails at automation the merchant was promised.

Should you build this?

Competitor review volumes show the returns category is paid for - AfterShip 1,544 reviews at 4.7, Return Prime 767 at 4.8 and ReturnGO 405 at 4.9 on the Shopify App Store, with Loop self-reporting 5,000+ merchants - but that is evidence the category sells, not proof that the proposed flat plan will. The job is taking back a return (labels, exchanges, store credit, refunds) without being charged per return. The documented sore points are tier-gating and metering: an AfterShip reviewer writes that delivery-date return windows need the $119 plan and that it is 'not worth it if you're a small business', another says the lower tiers 'completely fail at making returns automated', and a Loop customer complains about per-return overage fees. This is not guaranteed to work: incumbents own the App Store shelf, carrier integrations take time, the core is copyable, and a flat unlimited plan can be arbitraged by high-volume stores. Kill it if fewer than 5 of 20 prepay, or if most already sit on a free or sub-$20 plan that meets their needs.
