Flat-Rate, Audit-Ready Pest Control OS

Flat-rate pest control software with audit-ready chemical and termite reports for route-based operators who pay per customer, route, or seat today.

Founder thesis

Pest operators are trapped by quote-only contracts and rising customer tiers. A 1,000-customer owner pays PestPac $510 a month while paying $299 for the same modules at GorillaDesk. Bill the company once, ship the chemical and termite paperwork the cheap plans leave out, and win the account at renewal.

What others got wrong

  • Pocomos meters active customers: $99 at 0-20, $159 at 21-50, $209 at 50-300, $275 at 300-500, then quote-only above that.

  • PestPac hides its prices and puts "Logbook and Auditor Reports" only in Enterprise, leaving Small Business with Basic Reporting.

  • FieldRoutes also bills by number of active customers and gives no free trial.

  • PestPac's contracts and weak importer make leaving painful. One owner double-pays while her contract runs to November, and calls leaving "a nightmare to get out."

What should work

  • Bill one flat price per company for unlimited active customers, routes and field users, priced where incumbents already sell small accounts.

  • Ship auditor-ready chemical logs plus termite inspection, work-order agreement and completion-notice documents, which the low end does not have.

  • Run a 14-day free trial with no credit card and free migration, the way GorillaDesk does.

  • Build a 20% recurring affiliate program with a co-hosted webinar at 150 registrations, which is a repeatable channel in this vertical.

What kills it

  • GorillaDesk already sells transparent month-to-month plans from $49, so flat pricing is not new.
  • FieldRoutes' parent ServiceTitan reported $960.97M revenue for FY2026 and can fund a price war.
  • No buyer has been shown to switch to a new entrant rather than the cheapest existing tool.
  • The free-import promise may not hold: an owner says material usage does not move cleanly between any routing tools.

What users want

5
  • A way out of a contract without paying twice

An operator said she pays PestPac $510 a month until November while paying $299 for the same modules at GorillaDesk.

  • Termite reports, work order agreements and completion notices

A 1,000-customer operator said GorillaDesk does not offer the complexity she needs to generate them.

  • Cheaper software that is easy to use and routes well

One user wrote PestPac is "crazy expensive" and likes to "nickle and dime you," even though "their routing is exceptional."

  • Import old material and chemical usage

A 20-year owner said importing old data such as material usage is limited.

  • Scheduling that scales past a few dozen techs

A commenter replying to a 50-60 tech operator said schedulers spend half their day clicking through screens and adjusting routes by hand, though the same comment also promotes a vendor.

What customers complain about

Software cost climbs with the business because incumbents meter active customers, routes or seats, and the top tier is quote-only. Pocomos runs $99 at 0-20 active customers, $209 at 50-300, $275 at 300-500, then "Tailored."
Operators pay well above list under legacy contracts. One owner said she pays PestPac $510 a month but found "$299 for the equivalent modules" at GorillaDesk.
Contracts and weak migration make leaving painful. One operator double-pays while waiting out a PestPac contract and calls leaving "a nightmare to get out."
Old material and chemical usage does not move cleanly. An owner said importing "old data such as material usage etc is limited," and added it is limited with any routing software, so this may be inherent.
Auditor, chemical and termite reporting is weak at the low end. A 1,000-customer operator cannot get the termite reports, work order agreements and completion notices she needs from GorillaDesk and bolts on a second tool.
Auditor reporting is gated upmarket. PestPac's page puts "Logbook and Auditor Reports" only in Enterprise, while Small Business shows Basic Reporting.
PestPac is seen as expensive and slow. One commenter was quoted $400 a month for 1 admin and 1 technician and said a requested feature had been in progress for two years, though he later called the feature "something innocuous, like getting weather data," not compliance.
Dispatch at larger operations looks manual. A commenter replying to a 50-60 tech operator said schedulers spend half their day clicking through screens, adjusting routes and double-checking data; that comment also promotes a vendor, so this is second-hand.
PestPac draws repeated cost complaints even from buyers who like it. One wrote it "is crazy expensive and they love to nickle and dime you. However their routing is exceptional."
Cost complaints are not one vendor's problem. One user wrote "I do not recommend PestPac. It's expensive, difficult to use and the results are only good enough."
Routing quality varies even in tools buyers recommend. An operator said "Gorilla desk isn't terrible for the price and is pretty user friendly. Doesn't do a fantastic job with routing."

Your angle & pricing wedge

Angle and pricing wedge
PieceClaimSrc
AngleA pest-specific recurring-route CRM with a state/EPA chemical-application log and auditor-ready exports, termite inspection, work-order agreement and completion-notice documents, and free historical import including material usage, priced flat per company with unlimited customers, routes and field users. None of the pieces alone is new: GorillaDesk ships chemical tracking and documents, PestPac ships auditor reports in Enterprise, and Pocomos already sells a $99 small-account plan, so the wedge is the combination plus the flat price and honest migration.
WedgeA flat plan of about $99 a month for unlimited active customers, routes and field users, with material-history import and auditor-ready chemical and termite reports, beats Pocomos' $275 listed tier for a 500-customer company and the $400 and $510 monthly bills users report under PestPac, landing about 75-81% and 64% below those figures. The anchor is soft: Pocomos' own compare hub claims plans "starting at just $59/month," which contradicts its $99 pricing page.

Self-serve prices run $49-$149 per route (GorillaDesk) and $59-$99 per field user (Fieldwork); Pocomos runs $99-$275 by active-customer band then quote-only; PestPac, FieldRoutes and Briostack are quote-only.

Whether a flat $99 a month per company wins share is a guess, not something any source shows.

Should you build this?

This vertical makes money: FieldRoutes' parent ServiceTitan reported $960.97M FY2026 revenue, Briostack claims 3,700+ pest and lawn companies, and PestPac lists Terminix, Arrow and Truly Nolen. The pain is documented: a 1,000-customer operator pays $510 a month to PestPac on a contract she calls "a nightmare to get out," and GorillaDesk cannot produce the termite reports, work order agreements and completion notices she needs. But the vertical is crowded, the incumbents have funded brands and communities, and flat pricing is not new because GorillaDesk already runs transparent month-to-month plans from $49. No source shows buyers will pick a new entrant over the cheapest existing tool, so I would not build this blind. First test: recruit 20 pest owners with 1-10 routes who already pay PestPac, FieldRoutes, Briostack, GorillaDesk or Pocomos, have each show last month's invoice, the contract end date and one dated compliance or reporting failure from the last 12 months, re-price them at a flat $99 a month, and ask for a paid 3-month pre-order; kill it if fewer than 5 of 20 pre-pay, more than 5 already pay under $99, or fewer than 8 can name a real failure.
