The idea, briefly

Build one flat per-store price covering unlimited orders and unlimited seats, pulling fees, shipping and ad spend from the store plus marketplaces (Shopify, Etsy, eBay, Amazon, TikTok Shop) into one true-profit view, with a costs-freshness audit that flags stale or missing COGS and shipping inputs before they corrupt the margin history.

What buyers expect

People comparing tools like TrueProfit, Lifetimely (AMP), Stocksmith (formerly Craftybase) expect the basics to work without surprise fees or missing pieces. The loud complaints are: Per-order overage produces surprise bills when sales spike; and volume-based pricing makes the tool unaffordable exactly when the store grows.

Should you build this?

Who pays: the owner or marketer of a small online store who decides ad spend and needs to know real profit per order after goods, shipping, marketplace and payment fees, ads and returns. Their own 1-star reviews name the exact wounds a flat-fee product targets: a sales spike triggering a bill 'QUADRUPLE' the subscription with no warning, a $600/mo volume bill called a rip-off next to a former $30/mo price, profit reports with handling fees that silently change, VAT missing for EU sellers, and COGS errors running for months. Two of the ten citations (the Reddit permalink and the BeProfit domain) could not be opened live and are snippet-only; the COGS evidence rests secondhand on the VettedGaps aggregator; and multi-channel ingestion already exists at the incumbents in partial form (Lifetimely's +$75/mo Amazon add-on and TrueProfit's Amazon/TikTok Shop features), so the wedge is packaging, not a missing capability. This is not guaranteed to work: the incumbents have hundreds of app-store reviews, years of integrations and support, the space is crowded, and the free floor plus spreadsheet alternatives are real. Kill it if fewer than 6 of 25 pre-pay, or if more than 10 say the incumbents' base tier already covers their volume, or if the median last invoice is under $35/mo.
